So we quickly nipped over to see chris towe at the fradley business centre to see the new chamber of commerce offices and have a quick chat about new developments. We also wrote a piece together that will be mentioned in the next members newsletter regarding burtonstream.com

We have added leigh dorlings video shot yesterday into the system and also provided leigh with the html code required to paste the video into his site if so desired, remember that projects/burtonstream are willing to shoot your burtonstream and chamber video for free and is also available for quarter/half and full day video recording for video clip streaming web media for your business. Most of the time we can even edit and produce SAME day.

We are putting in place a system for site mirroring with the site hosted in america and also in the uk, this will hopefully speed up the local connections for the uk traffic to the site. Not sure why we did not do it sooner as it makes sense to have a uk host seeing as the site concentrates on burton upon trent and the surrounding areas. New videos are on the way to as we have a number of new bookings for video sessions in the coming few weeks after this mornings chamber meeting.

We are printing of our new leaflets to advertise burtonstream and projects in the local area hopefully next week. The additional coding work is under way on our dedicated video player and we are excited about the additional features. We have had to put off a new batch of video interviews as we have been very busy with client work and obviously client work comes first as it pays the bills! - after all we do this for free and is a testbed for a much bigger project. We are hoping to open the site up to the general public soon as uptake from the local chamber has been slow - i would like to get some airtime for the local area to build up some traffic to the site and hopefully get more people onboard doing videos. :)

The site has been a bit quiet of late due in part for us securing a great freelance job with the biggest wine distributor in the uk, colombier wines. We are writing a system to enable them to print and produce wine re-order lists and the lists in general. It is a big project and we are glad to be working on it.

Looks like the videos are going down very well on itunes now that the apple tv has been released. We have allocated some time to working on burtonstream over the weekend and a new flash player is currently being worked on to bring some additional and improved features to the player.

We have been working on the category section last few days and have some nice new features for the map which a lot of people are not using yet. Bookings are now limited to monday and thursdays now due to contract work with existing clients and freelance work. More than happy to visit your place of work or home to record your free video for the chamber and local area. Please get in touch or use bookings menu to book a time slot. Hope to have new features active before this thursdays chamber of commerce meeting.

Great meeting this more, just about to edit the video. Hoping to put together a video regarding "open source" as it was brought up at the meeting. The video should be encoded and posted to the site later on today workflow allowing. Nice to meet some new business at the meeting too. Please be aware that large sections of the website are being added today so expect some things to be moving around.

We have integrated Google calendars so that people can automatically book a time/date slot for us shooting a video for you (chamber members free) - the "bookings" tab at the top of the site will give you the information you need to leave a booking entry on our calendar. You can change the time and date at any time and we will know about the change. All bookings will be verified before via email or phone call.
